Green Levers is an international charity addressing the urgent challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and the empowerment of local communities. We partner with locally rooted organisations, providing funding, expertise, and visibility to help them grow, connect, and scale their impact.
Why Green Levers Exists
Around the world, community-based organisations are working to protect ecosystems, address climate impacts, and support livelihoods in ways that are deeply rooted in local knowledge and long-term commitment.
Despite their importance, many of these organisations face barriers in accessing funding and support that is flexible, proportionate, and responsive to their context. Short-term or tightly restricted funding can limit their ability to plan ahead, strengthen their organisations, or respond to changing conditions.
Green Levers was established to respond to this challenge. Our role is to help bridge the gap between locally led action and the resources, support, and visibility needed for that work to endure and grow.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build meaningful connections between the developed and developing worlds to amplify the impact of grassroots efforts in conservation and sustainable development. By delivering targeted funding and strategic support to smaller organisations at crucial growth stages, we aim to make every resource stretch further, creating enduring, positive change.
Who We Support
We support local organisations in understanding and communicating the global value of their work, building their fundraising capacity and helping them to become powerful agents of change. Through encouraging strong local and global communities, we promote resilience, shared knowledge, and sustainable practices that benefit everyone.
